Jason, a young man who had been running from his past, found a future in the coast guard and we were able to help him get there.

Community donations are used to fill critical gaps where needed. We count on these donations to meet operational expenses that fall outside our budgets, or to fund special small projects and personalized needs that directly benefit guests at the center. Funds from most of our other grant sources are limited to specific tasks which, while extremely important, make it difficult to fund other needs, diapers for the 1 year old twins or work clothes for a back to basics graduate on their first day of work! . Meeting these needs often bridges the gap between bare existence and renewed hope for a future, simply by demonstrating that someone cares. Without your contributions, we would be unable to fill these gaps and would find it difficult to plan for the future.
Many of our successes can't be seen in statistical information. They come from the watchful corners of the room… and sometimes from noisy protests at the front desk. They come from friends helping friends, and a community that doesn't give up on its' vulnerable members.
Today, dear friend please consider your donation to the Arcata Endeavor. Sometimes the need seems so overwhelming. Your generous cash gift or donation of much needed in kind contributions will be gratefully used to empower our vulnerable neighbors. Help us continue to address our small portion of this growing national epidemic of poverty.
