Our dedicated team also provides outreach and short-term intensive comprehensive community support services.  The goal is to assist community members in need in achieving community stability and reaching their fullest potential.

  • Family Services.  Outreach is conducted to make contacts with the homeless families that visit the Endeavor. Staff also refer families to this program.  The goal is to develop relationships with these families in order to move to provide services and open the door for comprehensive community support services opportunities.  Diapers, formula, children's clothing, and other family items (received primarily as donations) are distributed to families through the Family Services Program.  Referrals are made for housing, food, rent/utility assistance, education, parenting, health care, employment, domestic violence, counseling and other community resources.

To ensure a successful transition to self-sufficiency, The Endeavor offers our consumers:
Follow-up to provide support once the transition has been made.

  • Employment Assistance.  Outreach is conducted to identify individuals and families who are interested in receiving employment assistance.  In addition referrals are received from other Endeavor programs as well as from other agencies.  Training is available on resume writing, interview skills, and how to look for a job, earn a GED, etc.  Computers are made available to work on resumes, cover letters, etc.  We also do one-on-one work with individuals to assist them in identifying barriers to employment and in deciding what career path to pursue.

  • Self sustainability & Financial Literacy.  The provision of life skills training, coupled with comprehensive community support services enables Endeavor consumers to learn to manage their lives and move them toward self-sufficiency.  Over the years of assisting individuals and families coming out of homelessness, a problem has been identified.  Namely that there is not enough emphasis placed on preparing people to adequately manage their financial resources.
