The Arcata Endeavor Public Benefit Non Profit and a United Way agency. For
over 32 years Arcata Endeavor has served the poor in the City of Arcata.
Since 1999 Arcata Endeavor has provided supportive and essential services
from its present location at the Arcata Service Center (ASC). Services
have expanded substantially in response to the needs of the poor among the
local community.
To meet the needs among the local population, we offer
Back to Basics (BtB),
a work-readiness program and Comprehensive Recovery Services (CRS) for
those in need of mental health support and/or substance abuse treatment.
Arcata Endeavor offers essential human services including; operation of
the local Food Pantry, augmented by fresh produce and bread; our Hot Meal
service feeding those in need who are participants in our training or
recovery programs, including seniors, disabled, and poor families, shower
and laundry facilities; basic communications services such as telephone,
voice mail use, mail service and internet access for those participating
in employment readiness services.
